Highly pathetic. But it always comes down to money in the end.

Remember when sports such as basketball said they would never approve of gambling---one of their strong reasons was to prevent an explosion of problem/compulsive gambling to our youth. Now you can't watch a game of any sort without 76 gambling commercials/references through out the game. Morals always lose to money in corporate America.

Sports didn't want it because they weren't getting their cut so played the morals card. As soon as they got theirs fuck what they had previously said...

Over the years , sports mergers have made the product better. ABA , AFL to name a couple. Then you have the Indy car split ( Cart ) which waited way to long to merge, which almost destroyed the sport. Both groups finally came to their senses and merged.

Feel bad for the PGA players that didn't take the money and took a stand against taking cash from a murderous government.

The PGA tour really threw them under the bus. Obviously the tour didn't give a shit and was just playing a card in THEIR best interests and as soon as it lost they jumped aboard the money train.

Now the PGA tour will do its best to help you forget their previous reasons for not approving of LIV.

That government probably not any worse than our present one.
Might have to see the fine print here. I would think a merger would consist of PGA players playing in LIV events. Possibly a signing bonus comes with it.

I've got to admit, I NEVER saw this coming. At least this fast. I wonder who waved the white flag? Which tour benefits the most? Politics of the Saudis aside, I think the LIV tour model exposed the PGA as a dictatorship taking advantage of their golfers who should absolutely be paid a base minimum yearly contracts like all other leagues. Especially considering how hard it is to earn a tour card.

I agree with this Sooners..
Funny how bigger these purses became after this became a threat. Where was all this money before ?

Phil tried to expose all of this, pretty much got crucified for it.

Eggzactly! Funny how the PGA suddenly found some loose change between the sofa cushions and went from one million a tournament to 3 million overnight to the winners.

Somebody should probably to a welfare check on Brandel Chamblee and Rory...Chamblee needs to step down anyway. He's never right about anything.
